At Sunder Deep World School the festival was celebrated with great pomp and show.
Gidda was performed by the teachers along with the spring fielders wearing traditional attires. The day was perceived and celebrated by all.
The festival basically marks the New Year for the Sikh community. It falls on 13th or 14th of April every year. It is a way of honoring the Khalsa Panth of the warriors under Guru Gobind Singh. For the farmers, it is the first day of the baisakh season which is that time of the year when all their hard work pays off.
So get drenched into the festive mood and let your heart dance to the rhythm of the drums.
